John began his career as a draughtsman for the Ministry of Works and Development, whilst studying for his New Zealand Certificate and Bachelor of Engineering at Canterbury University. From there John has become a member of the Professional Engineers Institute of New Zealand (MPEINZ) as well as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPE). His career has included tunnel construction with the Ministry of Works, Company Engineer at Brian Perry and GM / Shareholder at Earthmovers and Whitehall Quarries. In addition many senior management positions at the Concrete and Infrastructure Group (a part of Fletcher Building). He further studied and obtained a Master of Business Administration at Monash University in Australia. Since then a five-year term as an Environment Court Commissioner as well as establishing a number of land development, construction and quarry companies.
Ciaran Murphy | Managing Director

Ciaran began his career over 15 years ago as a chainman and draftsman for a Land Development Consultancy, at which time he studies for his Bachelor of Surveying at Otago University. Over his career he has become a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors (MNZIS) and is a member of EngineeringNZ.Early in his professional career Ciaran specialised in dimensional control and industrial measurement and was involved in the deformation monitoring and structural analysis of reservoir dams and water towers, the instalment of offshore oil platforms and wells, and the remote fabrication of modular gas plants.Further to this, he has over ten years’ experience in subdivision and land development, civil engineering design, construction supervision, and project management.

Julian is an outcome focused Licensed Cadastral Surveyor with a track record of success in client management and has many professional and academic industry-related awards. He has worked in the Auckland, Gisborne, Dunedin, Tauranga and Taupō regions on a broad range of land development projects and rural subdivisions.Julian's practical experience combined with his extensive knowledge on cadastral surveying and land tenure issues enables him to deliver innovative solutions with accuracy. Committed and enthusiastic, Julian is recognised for his effective communication, sound judgment, proven project management skills, meticulous approach, and attention to detail.Outside of work, his love for nature and outdoor adventures takes him to the mountains, forests, and rivers of New Zealand where he enjoys tramping, mountain biking, snowboarding, running and more recently packrafting.
